🌿 My work begins with attentive looking — allowing the image to reveal itself.

🌿 I am Stieneke Stadman (1965).

I discovered painting and drawing during a period of recovery after a burnout.

Since 2020, I have been working as a self-taught artist.

My work begins with observation.

I take time, without a fixed plan.

Gradually, an image begins to emerge — sometimes quietly, sometimes through searching.

In my paintings, I explore calm, space and subtle layers.

Whether landscape, still life or figure, the image develops in the process itself.

Not everything is determined in advance.

It is precisely within that openness that the work takes shape.

Painting, for me, is a way of seeing.
